About WANIDA

The Kedah Women’s Association Federation (WANIDA) is a non-governmental organisation that brings together women’s NGOs across the state of Kedah.

History

WANIDA, the Kedah Women’s Association Federation, brings together women’s non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in the state of Kedah.

The association was registered with the Registry of Societies Malaysia (ROS) in 2019.

WANIDA was formed following a call by NCWO for every state to have its own representative women’s organisation. It acts as the link between national and state levels so that efforts to empower women can be carried out more effectively.
